CANDLE CARE
BURNING
-
Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 5 mm to ensure a clean, controlled flame and to avoid black smoking or mushrooming.
-
Let the candle burn until the entire surface has melted — especially on the first use — to prevent tunneling and promote an even burn. (Container candles)
-
Do not burn the candle for more than 3–4 hours at a time. Allow it to cool completely and trim the wick before relighting.
-
Always use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid extinguishing with water, as this can cause wax splatter or damage to the vessel.
-
Stop using the candle when about 1 cm of wax remains at the bottom to prevent overheating or surface damage.
PLACEMENT
-
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable objects such as curtains, clothes, books, or rugs.
-
Avoid lighting your candle in drafty areas such as near windows, fans, or air vents. Air movement can cause uneven burning or sooting.
-
Never touch or move a candle while the wax is liquid or the container is hot. Wait until it has fully cooled.
SAFETY
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended. If you are leaving the room or going to sleep, extinguish it completely.
-
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
-
Remove any paper tags or metal decorations before lighting.
-
Use caution when burning multiple candles at once — keep them at least 10 cm apart to prevent melting or uneven burning.
STORAGE
-
Store your candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Excessive heat or light may fade colors and scents, and can affect the structure of the wax.
-
Keep your candle covered or in its original packaging when not in use to protect it from dust and preserve the fragrance.
Following these simple steps ensures not only the safety of your environment but also the longevity and performance of your candle.
Treat your candle with care.
